Bruno Oliveira has dedicated his 22-year career in education to making the world a better place, and that same passion will now drive his new role as part-time Acting Principal at Immaculata Regional High School.
“As Acting Principal, I will be in a position to make a profound impact on the academic, emotional, and spiritual development of students. I look forward to providing the resources and support that will help students reach their full potential and ensure they thrive both in their education and their faith,” he said.
For the past 10 years, Oliveira has been a familiar face at Immaculata Regional High School, serving as Vice Principal. While he has held various positions throughout his educational career, Oliveira has found a strong sense of purpose working within Catholic education.
“Catholic schools educate the whole child—intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and socially,” said Oliveira. “In addition to academics, students are encouraged to grow in their faith, participate athletics and in extracurricular activities, engage in community service, and develop leadership skills. This holistic approach helps students grow into well-rounded individuals.”
Oliveira also values the “strong sense of family and community” that Catholic schools foster.
“I love the close-knit relationships that form between students, staff, and families. There is a shared commitment to creating an environment where each person is valued and supported,” he continued.
Robert Plaxton will remain at Immaculata as Principal part-time, after accepting the position of District Principal with the division.
“I look forward to working alongside Bruno to continue delivering exceptional Catholic education and ensuring that our students thrive academically, spiritually, and personally,” Plaxton said.
“Bruno joins our team with 22 years of experience in Catholic education, offering a valuable combination of expertise, passion, and fresh insights,” said Superintendent Pamela Guilbault. “His strong commitment to student success, along with his passion for providing excellent Catholic education, will be instrumental in furthering our mission to nurture both academic excellence and spiritual growth within CISND.”
